I love the Custom Hand Stamped Personalized Mom/Grandma disc with crystals. I was also wondering about how a large family could get away with only one necklace charm? I think they could fit our five children’s names on one though.
As far as a motherhood story….hmm. I have found it to be even more of a blessing to be a mom as years pass, and now as we add to our family through adoption. It will be a very special mother’s day this year since our entire family is together at last after a LONG wait to bring our son home from Haiti.

I like the Custom Hand Stamped Personalized Hammered Heart Pendant/Necklace.
I figure since this is a momma’s giveaway I would tell a mother’s day story. When my boys were 2 and 3, they picked out a bright yellow canvas bag with a beach scene created from sequins and bedazzle gems. It was blinding! They insisted that I use it as my purse for the next year. I carried it with joy… that’s how much I love them.

I like the layered ones with the children’s names. But how would she do with seven children?
I don’t have any mom story for you. All seven of my children will be here to sleep tonight, along with a son-in-law and two grandsons. That means 3 baby boys 20 months down to 4 1/2 weeks. Call me in the morning.

My favorite is the Grandma’s Brag Circle – customized with a disc for each of my children, perhaps with a birthstone crystal attached to each disc. I can’t see any other way to fit all my children’s names on any of the other necklaces!
Or I really like the FROG necklace – I’d need to wear it every day!
Once upon a time there was a 12-year-old girl who dreamed of having 7 or 8 children when she grew up. Later, she met a man who also wanted a large family, along with a wife whose “career” would be staying at home to nurture their children. By God’s grace, they married, and God blessed them above and beyond what they could ask or think by giving them 9 children! The story isn’t over yet. Through all the struggles and triumphs, tears and laughter, I’m still living my childhood dream of motherhood.

Motherhood has been a wilder ride than I had imagined. My first baby was so hard that his Dr. labeled him a Mother-killer. Although we had planned on 4 children, we ended up with only 2. (The second baby was much easier on me!) As hard as those early years were, it has been totally worth it. My kids are good, kind people and I am proud to be their Mom. I figure I must be doing something right if my 13 year old son will still stop by the school library on my volunteer days just to say hi to me.

I think I might like a custom one, sort of a cross between the FROG one and the “Love Me, Love My Cat” one. It might have ZOO on the center disc, and then have a copper disc that says “Love one, Love us all”. Otherwise I love the FROG necklace, and the “cat” necklace. I love the “dog” necklace, but it wouldn’t be true. I do NOT kiss dogs on the lips!

A real motherhood “moment” for me was when I had my first child. Until then I wasn’t able to really understand just how much my own mother loves me. Now I have experienced the joy of seeing my first child loving her children. Very heady stuff!

I had my child on April 30..It was a quiet cloudy day with showers when I went to the hospital. After my son was born, I looked out the window of my room and the whole world had turned green and blossoming, after the rain and after my son was born…

Motherhood stories? How about one from today. I invited a lady from church over to join us for lunch, and I went over a very long list of “do’s” and “don’t's” with the children (4, 2). They were on their very best behavior, and then I overheard my 4 year old telling my friend that he and his sister are sick and they’ve had really green boogers coming out of their noses. He was really proud of this fact. And in my defense, they were sick last week…they are perfectly healthy now!

motherhood story: The only thing I could think of is how I have absolutely horrid pregnancies and with my first daughter I thought I would never have another kid because I thought my body would not be able to handle it and I woulnd’t be able to cope. But after I had my daughter I realized that being a mother was so worth the hard pregnancy because kids are amazing and there’s no greater joy than being a mother!

story about Motherhood. This past Sunday, we were on our way to church when I realized I had baby puke on my shirt. We turned around, i ran inside, threw on a different shirt . . .not as nice, didn’t quite match my skirt as well as the first, but I didn’t want to be late. As I jumped back in the car, in the rain, my four year old says, “Mama! You – look – BEAUTIFUL!” As a words person, I was just thrilled. I turned around to thank my sweet son, when my six year old says, in a very apologetic, but firm voice, “Moses, we shouldn’t say things that aren’t true, just to make other people happy.” Ahhhh – that about sums it up. spit up on your clothes, late to events, flexibility, compliments, your instructions/teaching coming from your children (often in the same tone of voice) and lots of love and laughter.

I was sitting at the table on Easter after a big meal I’d prepared. That day had been a little trying, with my parents visiting and my oldest being in a bad mood and getting upset when things weren’t exactly “fair” between her sister and her.
