Maria,
Thanks for your insight. Honestly all input is really appreciated. Thanks for your sweet compliment. Somehow, things aren't going so well just now, but that post will be coming up, soon. I have committed for 6 weeks and after that, I will be trying other things.

Oh, I stopped by your blog and your hair is gorgeous, beautiful curls.

Blessings,
Kimberly

I was really interested to read this, because I am a curly-haired gal who gave the no-shampoo thing a try for a couple months! I quit about a week ago because my scalp just never got quite past the "gross" stage and was flaking pretty badly (sorry if that's TMI). Now I'm washing with a homemade castile soap-based shampoo that seems to be working pretty well so far. Your post has definitely inspired me to write a post about my no-shampoo journey!

I agree with Smockity Frocks that your curls are BEAUTIFUL! So well-defined and shiny! Brushing will definitely add a frizz factor, though. For me, detangling with a wide-toothed comb in the shower works well.

Good luck with your no-shampoo journey; I hope it works out well for you!

For some reason your posts aren't coming through to my feed reader, so I missed this.

A. I think your curls are BEAUTIFUL! People pay top dollar for curls like those!

Second, about the frizz: I don't follow Curly Girl 100% in this anymore because I do brush my hair now. I brush right before I get in the shower to wash it, so there won't be any tangles, and after washing, I put in gel and brush to distribute it evenly. This also seems to cut down on frizz for me.

D. I don't know about the greasies. I do remember hating that in the beginning and can't remember exactly how long it took to stop. Are you using the conditioner and brown sugar scrub? That might help, as well as a vinegar rinse. I scrub my scalp with conditioner about once or twice a week and it never looks greasy now.
