    Yes, it bit him. Clamped down hard, but he said it didn’t hurt. It stayed on for a long time, long enough for me to run inside and get the camera. Each time he tried to pull it off he said he could just feel it bite down harder.

    And that would be among the list of things that just is different between boys and girls. My son does not like to pet the horse or goat or pig or donkey at the petting zoo but give him a chance to pet a snake and he is there. :_)

    We used to take lizards, make them open their mouths and then have them clamp on to our ears to make lizard earrings.
