More reviews and giveaways! :-) These new notebooks look great! If you have one of the Apologia elementary books, you get a password to get online resources from Apologia. There are free notebooking pages for all elementary books in PDF format, and that's what I used for my children this year studying Zoology 1: Flying Creatures. I just printed them out, 3-hole punched them, and put them in folders. I also used Lynn Erickson's lesson plans. Now, after nearly a year, I'm thinking of relaxing a bit with these elementary books - turning them into readers where my children can go at their own pace (as long as they keep a pace!) and just make sure the notebooks are properly filled out. My two oldest are finishing up General Science and doing well with following a more rigid schedule with that one.

All right the "Yeahs" have it. Stay tuned for my thoughts on some more homeschooling products, but beware I tend to be slow so don't hold your breath, just know that it is on my to-do list. :)

We too are soon-to-be Apologia users, so this is very timely! I had heard through the grape vine something about this, but hadn't paid much attention to it as yet.

And I'd love to see what you think about certain products...always good to hear pros and cons.

Blessings,
Amy

I used the Apologia Botany last year with my 4th and 6th graders. I spent a lot of time last summer preparing them a notebook to use....very similar but not as good :) as what Apologia is offerering this year! It looks like a terrific product! I asked my rising 5th grader if he would like to study astronomy next year so I could purchase and use the new notebook, but he said he would rather cover multiple subjects in one year (like his older sister did this year doing Apologia 8th grade physical science) rather than study astronomy for the whole year. So, I am not using any of the Apologia elementary science books next year. I do love their books! I begin my 7th graders with the 7th grade general science. Donna Young has lots of printouts to help you make a notebook for your students using the Apologia products for grades 7 and up.

I like the product reviews. I have already made my curriculum choices for next year, but I always like to read about products!

Joyfully,
Roan

Are you kidding? I'd love to hear your reviews on homeschooling books/curriculum/whatever. Things are so much different now than when I was homeschooled (you know, when the options consisted of Abeka, Bob Jones, Saxon Math... and maybe a couple others and that was pretty much it). It is a blessing to have so much out there to choose from, but is also overwhelming.
