Not Me Monday: The Death of a Fly and Belling the Cat

As we were eating a nice dinner at our large dining table, Matthew (9) did not smash a fly with his bare hand in the middle of said table.  He did not then leave the smooshed fly carcass on the table until I asked him to remove it.  When he finally swiped it up with a napkin, he did not open the napkin to inspect the remains and describe, loudly in great detail the fly’s newly arranged anatomy.  What is it with us and insects at the table?

Alyssa (8) did not make a lovely ring for me using two delicate bells.  She did not ask me to wear it all the time so that she could have more time to read rather than finish her chores, in an child’s attempt to imitate the Aesop fable about belling the cat. This is not a hint as to who the books in the bathtub bandit might be.

When I went to take a shower I did not find a full-size rocking horse AND a doll in the shower!?

Life with these 9 amazing children is not the most wonderful, rewarding, blessed gift that I could have ever receive! I do not thank God daily for them.

HAHAHAHAHA!! The rocking horse in the bathtub is definantly a new one on me. I have found shoes, socks, various swim wear, towels, and most every other toy you could imagine. I have found cups, spoons, and various kitchen supplies, apple cores, pears, banana peals, other various fruit chunks (eww! We have a fruit bandit here!!) and non-tub bathroom supplies. I have yet to find a full size rocker though. LOL Kids are great! Ya gotta love em. Give em all my love.

hilarious! I think I scared the neighbours laughing about the rocking horse in the shower. I have definitely found some odd things in the shower too, and that’s not including the imaginary dragons 🙂
