When our eldest daughter was 5, she told us she was going to be a missionary. When she was 7 or 8, she told us she was going to be a missionary to India. When she was 16, she went to Haiti on her first overseas mission trip. At 19, she went to Africa. And, at 21 she made it to India. She is currently ministering in the U.S., but both she and the young man that is persuing her sense a call from God for long-term missions work in India.

Yes … we must listen to our children when they hear the Lord’s voice, even as very young children.

I am sorry I am late … I have been out of town. Happy 14 Anniv you two!!! Wgat a blessing to share 14 wonderful years and 9 georgious kids with your absolute bestestest friend. Happy birthday to Mathew and your new nephew! Congrats Auntie Kimberly! As you know we just had our first nephew on Memorial Day. That is why I am so behind on everything. I’ve been getting new Auntie snuggles. Loves to you all!!

yes, God is good. I am so very glad that your family life is such a blessing for you. As someone that has gone through a divorce, I know what it is like to be married to the wrong man. Happy anniversary and congratulations! What a special date the Lord has given you!

We have a similar story with our almost 10-year-old, only the Lord has given him a heart for Japan. He has asked to take Japanese since he was 4, and we wondered whether or not we should take him seriously. Last year we decided that it could do no harm to let him study Japanese, and the Lord provided two years worth of Rosetta Stone at a price we could afford. What a blessing it was to read about another young man with a heart for another culture. How exciting to see the Lord working in their young lives!
