We were introduced to Jiffy Pop on one of our camping trips and now it is a necessity for camping and occasionally the perfect snack for family fun night. Since Jiffy Pop is a super quick and easy, instant food, we did not have mechanical difficulties popping the corn resulting in lots of smoke, the alarm system going off and a permeating smell of burnt popcorn. Nope not us, we can pop corn without all the drama!
I did not spend a good part of one afternoon this week laughing at Nicholas (1) as he paraded around and showed off wearing a mailing envelope on his head.

As a mom of nine, I simply do not have time to sit around and laugh at the antics of the one year old. (Thanks April for the mailing envelope that provided an evening of laughs. Oh, and I enjoyed what came in the envelope too.
)
Our chalkboard wall is not currently being used to keep track of how many spills occur around the dinner table in a given week. Since we homeschool we only use the chalkboard to broaden our children’s minds and increase their knowledge base and besides we never have spills around the dinner table.
Nicholas is not still sneaking into the girls accessories every chance that he gets and he does not enjoy wearing princess crowns.
I did not just (about 3 minutes ago) drop a stack of over 30 plates onto the floor. None of them broke and I do not need to go buy another set of dishes so that we have enough plates for dinner tonight! The glass did not scatter to nearly every corner of the whole room and I cleaned it up immediately and did not come in to blog about it before I cleaned up the mess.
Last week’s Not Me was funnier or you can read more of my Not Me Monday’s . In the mood for something more serious? Read my series on why we homeschool. You may find more information by searching the categories at the top of the page. Head on over to MckMama’s to read what other’s have not been doing this week.

OH NO!!! I am sooo glad you did not drop dishes and break them. But you are more than welcome to come to my house and shop, as I DO NOT have 5 sets of dishes in my cupboards right now. And if I were to have that many sets of dishes, I would not be dreading packing them so we can move into the new house at the end of next month!!!
Your baby is quite funny and cute!!!

Love the pic of your one year old with the envelope. Priceless !

I have never had that same problem with popcorn, and set the smoke detectors off, thus having to explain to the alarm people that no we didn’t have a REAL fire.

Love the envelope on his head! Toddlers are so much trouble, but oh the joy and laughter they bring!! I cannot even imagine the number of spills you must have with 9 kids! I only have 3, and there are tons of spills, so you must have 3 times tons!

So fun to read your NOT ME posts! Cute little guy with the envelope on his head!! And I know all too well about making the smoke alarm go off!
Hang in there!

Hopping over from MckMama’s blog. Oh no about the plates and glasses! I love the idea of the kids tallying the spills on the chalkboard. Nicholas is so cute with the envelope on his head.
Happy Not Me Monday!

I love the spill tally…maybe you can have a contest if it stays below a certain number!

Oh! Too cool – we need to start a spill tally chart… LOL

Oh, so funny! Last week, my 11 year old made the comment, “MOM! Can you believe it’s been THREE WHOLE DAYS since anyone spilled their drink at the table?” Such an event is so rare that it was worth celebrating! I also identified with Nicholas – or should I say our youngest boy (22 months) does. He likes to wear his sisters’ shoes! Pretty sandals, princess dress-up shoes, you name it! So cute!

Ohh, this is too funny. I love it!

I think you dropped the plates on purpose because you didn’t have enough to write about today. We all know you are way too cool of a mom to drop something…

Sounds like your week was “not” eventful at all, lol! I noticed you had a yardsale finds post- I had already been linking up at Rhoda’s Southern Hospitality. You found some great stuff! Don’t you just love finding name brand (and expensive name brand) for next to nothing?
Blessings!
