I struggle with menu planning and preparing food for our household. When I don’t know what is for dinner it is hard to relax and spend time with the children. Menus 4 Mom has been wonderful for those weeks when life just gets too busy. Menus 4 Mom is free and they have all of their archives available for you to peruse and decide which you would like or you can simply subscribe to their email list and they will send you a new menu plan each week.
The menus are delicious and diverse. Many of their recipes have become family favorites in our home. Each menu includes a five day plan with complete meals as well as a PDF of the shopping list and recipes. Did I mention that this is all free? They do try to sell you a lot of other plans on the site, but the basic menu plan is free.
All it takes is printing out the grocery list, going shopping and then following the recipes! I do find that I spend more on groceries when we follow these plans, but the food is wonderful, it saves a lot of planning, it gets me out of a rut, and the whole family enjoys the variety.
You can sign up for them to email the menu to you or visit their archives and pick one that sounds particularly appealing. Having someone else plan our menu is my Tuesday tip for Mom.
Now its your turn. Post a Tip for Moms and link back to Raising Olives in your post so that your readers can come and read other tips if they desire. Then use Mr. Linky to link to your post (not your homepage) and include a 3-4 word phrase describing your tip.
To make linking up super easy you may copy and paste the paragraph below into your post:
Tuesday’s Tip for Mom is a blog carnival hosted at Raising Olives to allow moms to share what they have learned along the path of motherhood. Join us every Tuesday as we learn and share tips and ideas for spending time with, encouraging, training or relating to our children.

This is great! I just signed up. Thank you so much for posting. Meal prep is the area where I struggle the most. This was very helpful.

Hi Kimberly!
I just found your site off of mck’s “live chat” page. I love it! Anyway, I actually wanted to comment on the no-poo deal. I came across curly girl about a year ago an haven’t gone back since. My hair, too, became more curly than ever (I’ve always had fairly curly hair). My only problem has been dry scalp. So…in the winter I had to cheat and use Head and Shoulders prioir to a conditioner-wash. It bogged the curls down a bit, but helped the scalp. Anyhow, just letting you know I don’t think you’re crazy (but my friends think I am) and I hope you’re still doing it!

Hello, found your blog off of a comment left on MckMama’s.
Love your posts, and think it’s so cool that you have 9 kids! When I was about 14 I wanted 9 kids.
I’m 20 now, and #1 is baking in the oven right now! I’m only about 8 weeks though, so a long road ahead of me until I get to meet him/her. : o)
Anyways, just wanted to say I really like your blog. My pastor’s wife (a mom of 8 ) uses this recipe site as well and loves it! Thanks for the good advice, I hate planning meals! I’m terrible at it!
talk to you later!

Karen, Yes, I’m still “no shampoo” I love it. A few weeks ago I decided to use shampoo, just to see what would happen. I didn’t tell my husband that I had used shampoo, just asked him what he thought of my hair. “It looks frizzy today”, is what he said. Yep, no shampoo is better for me.
My friends still aren’t convinced!
Hi Kassandra, Congrats on your first baby! I’ve always wanted 12 children and I pray that God will allow us to have more. It is a wonderful blessing and I can’t imagine my life without them.
Dawn, Your welcome. I too really struggle with menu planning. This is great to take some of the load off occasionally!
Blessings,
Kimberly
