Colby (2) did not begin to habitually chew on his shoes this week. If he had decided to chew on his shoes, he would have been hiding in a corner, not sitting at the dinner table chewing on his shoe rather than his dinner. Good grief, the child is quickly approaching his third birthday, he is too big to chew on his shoes.
Savannah (3) did not give Mark the birthday present she made for him with this explanation (you just need to watch the first 5 seconds. The rest is funny, but for other reasons):
?? No, we don’t.
One morning this week Colby (2) did not ask for green beans for breakfast and even if he had, I would not have served eggs, toast and green beans for breakfast. Nope, not me. Besides what type of child would specifically ask for green beans? for breakfast?
We do not allow mud, dirt, leaves or sticks into our house, no matter how cleverly they are disguised.
(You do notice the “loin cloth”, right?)
I did not think the facts that the children wanted it AND that Mark was gone, sufficient reason to serve baked beans as the main course for lunch yesterday. We always eat nutritionally balanced meals and I’m thinking that nachos and baked beans is not very balanced or nutritional. Of course we did not have nachos, I’m just mentioning, that they would not be a healthy accompaniment to baked beans. In case you were wondering, ahem.
This week I was exhausted and went to bed early nearly every evening. Perhaps you noticed by the scant blog updates? Well, no matter how tired I was, when I asked Mark how his day went, I did not fall asleep while he was answering me. Nope, not me. I listened attentively. When he was finished telling me about his day, I simply didn’t have anything to say. It wasn’t that I was sleeping. Soundly.
