I’m supposed to be writing a post denying things that my kids do, but all I can think of are the amazing and wonderful ways that our children have blessed our lives and made them more meaningful than we could have imagined. I contemplate how different our lives would be if we didn’t have each and every one of these amazing people and am so thankful that God has blessed us with nine children even though we deserve none.
We deserve death and eternal damnation, but He has mercifully given us children who have brought more joy, blessing and happiness to Mark and me than we can possibly express. They motivate us to be better people, give us strength to keep going, and hope for the future. “Lo, children are a gift of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is His reward.” So I hope this post will be a celebration of the amazing joy and blessing that our children are to us.
Our children are not talented artists.
They do not happily eat a wide variety of fiber.
They don’t think that playing on the slip ‘n’ slide counts as taking a shower, so long as they use soap.
They don’t help clean the windows.
They would not spend more than an hour filling up more than 300 water balloons so that they could have a huge water balloon fight with the explicit goal of soaking their devoted and loving parents.
They do not know that they’re cute.

They never walk in their sleep and end up in the middle of mom and dad’s bed, leaving no room for mom or dad.
They are not a little too independent at times.
They do not make messes.

They are not over protective of their siblings.
They do not fall asleep in odd places.
They do not wear pants that are too big for them.
Thank you Lord for the blessing of these amazing children!
Raising Olives is more than cute kids, we also have information on how we homeschool , laundry management, teaching children to do chores, scheduling and saving money by making things yourself. Oh, and lots more Not Me Mondays.

Some “Not Me Mondays” really bother my Mama’s Heart, as some parents seem to think of serious behavioral issues as a joke. So, it was very refreshing to read your post. I think I’ll try one similar to it in the near future.

Our girls were always writing on their legs with markers. It’s been a few years now, since we completly removed all markers from our house (I know, mean parents . . .) They always seemed to use their legs as a canvas on Sunday morning right before church. The looks we got from the nursery workers.
Adorable pictures!

Yes that is a swim dress. We purchased it from swim modest. I make some additional comments the quality and price of these particular suits in this question and answer post.
Hope that helps.
