Yes, I use coupons, but generally only for items that are also on sale and that I need! To save money, I stock up at good sales, so I seldom run out of staples and have to pay full price. Also, after I make my shopping list from the sale ads, I do a web search for coupons for things that are on sale. (I love 2 for 1 deals plus a coupon!)

Hey Kimberly,
My best money saving tip is to shop the perimeter of the store. I try hard not to buy that many processed items, although I do buy a few things. I spend the bulk of my money on fresh fruits and veggies, eggs, and some dairy products. We do not drink milk, just use it for baking or for granola. By eliminating chips, cookies, soft drinks, cereal, some soups and snack items, we save money and I can feel free to buy some organic fruits and veggies occasionally.
I do not use coupons, mainly because they are all for processed foods, and we just don't eat them much.
I also use white vinegar for all our cleaning needs - bathrooms, kitchen etc. I make our laundry detergent also.
Have a great day!

I'm a believer in stocking up as well. Rarely do we run out of items we frequently use and I only buy them when they are at 50% savings or better. If I notice some items getting close to expiring I share with those I know that can use a little extra help at the present time.

If you have a store that doubles coupons and you do this is conjunction with a catalina sale, well that my friend can bring you really close to getting free or nearly free food! I have gone from spending $600 a month to $250 a month on food and all other household items since I have begun my coupon adventure. I've also been willing to try different products than the ones I'm accustomed to. Change can be a very good thing, especially if it means being a better steward!

I LOVE to use coupons! My best tip is to try and combine coupons with sales, and if possible, also use e-coupons (that can be loaded onto your shopping card). I save a lot of money that way - I almost always only buy things that are on sale and/or have coupons. Except for produce and dairy and other essentials, of course. I would love a $30 gift card - thanks for the great giveaway! :)

I never shop without my coupons! My favorite tip is that somewhere in each store, there is a clearance section! Our local Farmer's Food oftens puts bread or items from their deli there that are still good for a few more days, so I love to stop and check there.

I do use coupons and I try to match them to what the store has on sale that week. Plus there are many online sites that will help you by telling you what the "deals" are and where to find the coupons. You can get some amazing deals that way. Thanks so much.

My best tip is don't use a coupon just because you have it. Even if it is for a free item. Save that coupon until the store(s) run that product on a special sale with Catalinas, extra care bucks, or register rewards, etc.

You don't have to enter me, I don't have a Kruger's near me. But, I do use coupons and love them. I shop at Rite Aid and CVS quite a bit and the best savings I had was at Rite Aid. My bill was $44 and change and with all of my coupons and rebates I spent only $11 and change.
The other day I was at Giant Eagle and my bill was $300.87 and after coupons it was $271.35. Coupons save you lots of money.

I don't use coupons right now because they take way to much time for me right now. I lead cub scouts, girl scouts, Sunday school, homeschool etc. Someday I may coupon again but right now it doesn't fit our family schedule. We stockpile when things are on sale and eat the meats that are on sale each week

My tip is "find the system that works for you!" Matching coupons to sales was too much work for me, so I keep coupons for what I am going to buy anyway. I used to go to several stores to get the best deal on each item, but that took up too much time. Now I shop at the store I was buying the most from (conveniently, Kroger). When I went to "one stop" grocery shopping I found out that Kroger sends "best customer" coupons in the mail (many of them have been for non-processed foods). So, find the system that saves you the best balance of time and money because both are important to making a family run smoothly.

My best tip is one that won't work for everybody- "Leave the kids & hubby home!" I've found that I spend so much more when I take even just one of the family grocery shopping with me. It's inevitable that something that wasn't on my list that we really don't need will wind up in the cart. Oh- and I'm a coupon shopper as well! I took a break for a while & am just now trying to get back into the swing of things.

By far the most expensive thing for me to keep in the fridge are the proteins. I watch/wait for the butcher at our local grocery to do the weekly markdowns on meat that needs to be moved in a few days. This is NOT outdated meat but rather needing to be off the shelves an in freezers. I manage to save TONS on especially large packages of chicken and will buy whatever I can afford and/or what the freezer will hold. I love using coupons but I'm really bad about "forgetting" to use them.

My money saving tip for food is to set a "fun foods" list and only get that. Meaning, decide if you want some chips or something and get them, sure, but don't add on cookies and whatever else while you are shopping.

And I don't really use coupons. I keep meaning too though!!

Love Kroger, and have found that esp. with the $5 off $45 coupons they regularly mail me, it is the cheapest place for me to shop. I also use the coupons they mail, specifically based on my shopping habits (diapers, vitamins, etc.). Stocking up and freezing mark down meats would be my best money saving tip.

I don't use coupons, because they are for brand name products and the store brand is usually cheaper. I won't say they are all the time, but most of the time. And that is one way I save; by buying store brand things. I will say that we like Kroger's organic selection, it's much bigger than the other stores around here.

My best tips are to match coupons with sale items and to stock up on items you use regularly when you find a good price. Probably not too original, but they work for me.

I use a list, coupons and my calculator to help me save but the biggest thing I do is make a menu according to the sales. If hamburger is on sale then we have meals using that and so forth. I also check my usual store for mark down meats and bread and buy them and bring home to stock up.
