Ooo! What a very NICE prize! My favorite thing to do with my kids is do Praise Journals. They take a notebook and draw/color a picture of what they are thankful for that day. Then my oldest writes below a short letter to God like this: “Dear God, Thank you for my Grandma. Love, Abby”.

What a great giveaway! We love crayola products. They are the only crayons that don’t melt in a hot car!
We love to paint around here. I especially like using watercolors. Its fun to give each child the same subject to paint and then see how their paintings are alike and different. (my kids are 11 and 6).
P.S. I’m hosting a tour of school rooms on my blog this weekend. Stop by if you’d like to join in.

Well no children yet, but I sure do love to color myself!

Great giveaway! What a blessing this would be to have. My kids love to do crafts and we have a table that is set up specifically for that with a basket that contains on the fixings for daily activity. I don’t think there is a day that goes by without them using the table and using their imagination, along with construction paper and lots of crayola products, to make me a ‘gift’. You should see my desk and all my daily treasures!
Take care, Veronica

Fun giveaway! One thing we did this year I loved–simple, but pretty when we were done. We colored coffee filters with markers–then got them slighty wet, just enough to make the colors run. Then, let them dry and scrunch in the middle so they are “butterflies” and tie with ribbon to hang.

This is a fabulous giveaway. Thanks for the chance. Just yesterday, we set up a “French cafe” and painted outdoor scenes like Monet while enjoying parfaits. There pictures up on my blog.
[Reply]
I would love to have them here for the grandchildren, the idea with the coffee filters sounds great.

This is a great giveaway for homeschoolers! We love doing arts and crafts. We also do school all year. Right now my kids are studying birds (we are in the best birdwatching area right now!) so we have been using paints to decorate wooden birdhouses. So much fun!

We have taken old Christmas cards and used them to make ornaments in several different styles (with canning jar rings and yarn; with circles that you cut out, fold and glue together to make a sphere, etc.). We also have made bookmarks from recycled cards and laminated them to give away, or drawn our own bookmarks to laminate for gifts.

We have used crayola for over 22 years at our house – and even my college age girls take a new pack to their dorm every year to use for ‘destressing’. The kids at home love to use all kinds of markers and paints – the big thing lately has been making treasure maps. Oh, and paper people to play with. We would love to win a new supply for the fall/winter when we need lots of inside activities to keep busy.
[Reply]
I would love to win this! I like to go outside with all mine and fill up the driveway with sidewalk chalk creations.
[Reply]
Although my kids are bigger they still love to color! And we have so much fun coloring with our 2-yr old “grandbaby” too! She likes to try to draw pictures of Papa!

My kids and I love to draw, color and create. I like non coloring books, that encourage creativity and help drawing skills the best. While I was in art school I still remember my teacher telling us that we should never give children coloring books, it hinders creativity. I do allow my children to use them sometimes though, but their favorite thing to do is draw on plain, white paper. My newest son, E. is learning how to color and make marks on paper. He is 3, but is going through some developmental delays. I would love to win this for him, but I am sure all my kids would share it.

My kids would be so excited to win this. One of our favorite crafts has been finger painting on a canvas. We hung them up in the hall like “real art.” We also love to make playdough but I’m not sure that counts as a craft. BTW can’t remember how I found your blog, but I’ve been friends with Robert and Sarah for a long time so I feel like I “know” you all.
[Reply]
My girls and I love to finger paint. Such a great stress reliever…spending time with the kids and getting messy.
[Reply]
We like to do the Hands & Hearts History kits together especially right along with our history reading. We are reading about the pioneers right now and are enjoying the crafts that come from that time period. My wonderful sister-in-law gave us these kits. They are fun!!

I don’t have kids yet, but I’m a huge creative person. I actually babysat a little boy when I was younger and we made a piggy bank out of an old play-do cup…it was a pig. I got the idea from a magazine I believe, but it turned out very good.

I would love to win this package from Crayola! Girl Scout Daisies meet at my home twice a month. They love to color and we do many crafts with beads. Our most recent craft was pony beads on a half pipe cleaner then twist the ends of the pipe cleaner to the side of a safety pin. Use the side that doesn’t do the pinning. Easy, fast, and cheap!

Wow, great pack! I have been wanting to try the window crayons and markers, but they have not been on sale yet!

We love all things Crayola. One fun activity is drawing a picture as a family. Hand a piece of paper to every person with their name on it. Draw for 15 seconds or so and pass papers to the person on your left. Add to the drawing you were handed and keep papers going around the circle until you get back the paper with your name on it. It turns out really cool if there are several art materials, crayons, markers, and colored pencils. You never know what you’re going to get!

This would be fun to win! One thing we like to do for birthdays (or other personal holidays) is to make a card and let the children who are too young to write or draw get their hand traced in the card as their “signature.” These are very memorable and are even fun for the kids to look at as they grow! Sometimes even feet are added!

Wow, what a great giftpack and lots of great ideas. I was just starting to get my school supplies list started and searching for the best prices so we can start doing letter lapbooking this year. My daughter is almost four and we are starting phonics and so forth. She is such a crafty person though that I have to include projects for her to do each day or she would drive me crazy till I did! Her favorites are the ones that let her get semi messy.
I really like the praise journal idea. That is a great idea!

Everything looks like so much fun! My oldest girl(6yr.)loves to make cards for birthdays and such and my oldest boy(4yr.) likes,no LOVES to paint. Usually I give him some blank pieces of white paper and he paints to his heart’s content. Most of the time he uses almost all of the watercolor paint in one sitting as he likes to paint BOTH sides of the paper! Every once in awhile I break out the finger paints and they just go crazy!

I teach elementary students with special needs and getting them to write can be a real challenge. Allowing them to use their Crayola colored pencils to draw a picture to write about really gets them going.

Thank you so much for hosting this give-away! What a wonderful treasure trove of items
I think our most favorite “craft” lately would be making cards for my husbands lunchbox. He has been working an extreme amount of overtime and I know he is feeling tired and missing being home with us. He’s said that opening his box at work and finding a picture or card inside just makes his night. Not nearly as cool sounding as some of the other ideas…but that’s been our favorite thing to work on recently
[Reply]
Wow! We like anything art, but painting is probably top of the list. We’ve been on a bit of an art kick lately trying to get our supplies more organized and accessible. With a 1 year old this school year, I’m betting art will continue to be a big..although messy…hit!
[Reply]
How fun! Well, to be creative we recycle and try to come up with new ways to use old stuff. Painting is a major thing in our house!
[Reply]
We love to color and also do watercolor. This will be our 1st yr to homeschool. When we discussed it with my daughter whom we will be homeschooling this year, she said ok..but make sure we do lots of crafts

I love to simply color with my kids!

My kids LOVE to draw and color. In the summertime, we love to go to the beach and collect all shapes of rocks. Then, we bring them home and set up our back patio as a painting studio. We have painted fish, painted cars, painted hamburgers … the kids just look at the different shapes to determine what they might look like, and then they get creative with the paints. It’s very fun!

Thanks for this great giveaway. I love doing creative projects with my kids. It is amazing to see how their minds work and how they make fantastic art with very little direction or supplies

I care for my only grandson each day who is 5yrs and we simply LOVE to craft. One of our favorite craft projects is to use the soft foam squares to cut out designs and then I sew them together as animals or shapes of trucks etc and he uses them as cling ons in the tub.Great fun try it! great giveaway set thanks!

How fun! As a fellow homeschool bunch, we’d get a lot of use out of these! We leave large rocks outside in the sun and then draw on them with crayons. The crayons melt on the hot rocks and it is like painting. You can also heat the rocks in the oven. The girls and I also love to take photographs and use them in new ways. Like attaching them to tea bag strings and giving them as gifts.

What a great giveaway!
Just recently we learned how to dye silk scarves with Kool-Aid. We have another batch to do soon. All my children love to draw and/or color and sometimes I join in.

I just love to glitter with my girls I spread a sheet down and let them glitter old purses & shoes for dress up….ooooh sooo cute…..

What a cute giveaway!
I only have a 2-year-old so far, but we love coloring and painting! Although painting is a big production with a 2-year-old, so we don’t do it very often.
[Reply]
I like helping them color on their coloring books, and drawing different things for them
[Reply]
What a great give-away! Right now our favorite craft is making rainsticks using old papertowel holders and lots of colors! My 3 year old could craft all day!
Thanks for offering such a great giveaway!

My 10 year old is very gifted in art, and you can always tell what mood he is in by what comes out on the page. I keep a drawer full of all kinds of art stuff so that if he ever uses the “B” word, he has a whole drawer of things to pull ideas from. A kit like this would keep him busy for a long time.
Blessings,
Hannah

I love Crayola stuff. One of my favorite things to do is very simple. Each Sunday my daughter and I go through the ads and cut out pictures of things she likes such as food or toys or animals. I put the pictures in a bag and throughout the week we make collages.

I have grandchildren now and we love to color. We are slowly becoming more creative.

Love to do ceramics with the kids! I also love to read to them (although that might not technically count as something creative).
Blessings! Kelly

I love Crayola products! My kids can’t get enough of glue, so I often will color dried pasta and let them go to town. For some reason, they love to glue and color on cheap paper plate, so that’s what I get.
Oooh, I have a tip – I have a round table in my kitchen where we do projects. I like to protect the table, but my kids are 2 1/2 and 4 1/2, and will pull a table cloth off, or get their legs tangled in it and pull the whole thng down. One day I was wishing I could get a table cloth that was really short, just covering the top, and also had elastic to hold it in place. Viola! An old crib sheet worked PERFECTLY! I now keep an old crib sheet in the same bin where I store craft supplies. I just pop it on, it stays in place and protects the table. For my larger dining room table, I use a twin bed sheet.

My girls would love to win this package. They are very crafty, I am not. I like to color, but they love to paint, cut, glue. You name it, they love it!

Wow, what an amazing giveaway! We’d have so much fun with this stuff.
Anyway, one of our favorite things to do is cook. I play with my food a lot, so there’s always something new we’re creating or sculpting, hehe.

What a great giveaway and what creative comments! My girls just love to sit down with blank paper and crayons/markers/colored pencils and just create. My oldest daughter is on the autistic spectrum, so fine motor is a problem for her. I found some old fashion plates on ebay for her so sometimes I will get them out for her to color in her creations, but mostly it’s pure imagination around here. She loves to color in pictures (it really gives her a sense of accomplishment to stay in the lines and helps her work on those fm skills) so I am incorporating a lot of coloring pages into our history and science for her this year.
We love sidewalk chalk, especially now that we have our chalkboard (thanks Kimberly).
The Color Wonder products were a mainstay when we were taking care of my father-in-law who passed away 2 years ago from cancer. They stayed in the girls’ hospital bag and were a special treat if we had to suddenly take grandpa to the dr/hospital.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful giveaway with us!

We get large used paper from my work and drawing roads, stores, home, work and parks so that Josiah can play cars. When that is used up, we stop at the office and pick up some more scrap architectural paper and begin again.
[Reply]
My four year old loves scissors, so I turn him loose with an old magazine or some paper and his pair of scissors. Mostly we end up with handfuls of confetti. I’m not sure if this counts as creativity or destruction, but he certainly has fun! He also loves to color and glue.

What a fabulous giveaway! I can’t pinpoint a favorite craft activity in our house. I guess my kids would say drawing. They go through more than a ream of computer printer paper a month with their drawings. While we reserve markers for supervised time, they always have access to the crayons and color pencils.

My daughter loves to paint and color! So far those are our favorite activities. She isn’t into anything else at the moment.
What a fantastic giveaway!
