You recall that a few days ago I linked to Girly Do’s by Jenn, a site that has numerous, fun and unique ideas for girl’s hair styles. Well, the girls and I have spent some quality time fixing hair since then. It is amazing how much some of them will talk while I’m working on their hair. I thought that you would like to see how things turned out.

Some of these “do’s” have become our new favorites. Thanks Jenn!
Five girls means five times the fun and since we have no shortage of willing models, here are a couple more sites with fun and inspiring ideas; The Story of a Princess and Her Hair and Babes in Hairland.

I have really enjoyed this post. Since your original post on hair, I have been fixing trinity’s hair. Even though we now have 2 litle girls…only one has hair…:)

These are beautiful! Amazing – our same age girls like the same styles! I did the tucked braid on Beth’s hair, the knotted style on Miriam, and Tabitha wants the style Amber is sporting – that’s the “heart” braid, right? I’ve been using lots of little ponytails on the girls’ whose bangs are still growing out – you can’t even tell now when their hair is fixed.

Wow! Beautiful! Wish I had little girls again to try them out on

Wow! Your girls are cute! I checked out Girly Do’s and it is full of good info. I had my grands over the otherday and wanted to try some new do’s on “Curly” but “Smiles”, who is just wanting to try walking for the first time, kept my hands (and feet) too busy!
I still had a ton of fun with the two of them…I’ll have to wait for an overnighter with Curly to try a fun new do.
Have the girls tried doing each other’s hair? Mine had hours of fun doing makeovers to each other…Or they could do Mom’s hair…for a post? Mmmmmm?

Tara,
LOL, we’ve had some that were slow getting the whole hair thing going, but we’ve also had several who needed pony tails, by the time they were three weeks old.
Cardamom,
Yes, Amber is modeling the heart braid. I need a little bit of work on the spacing of those “anchors”.
Lisa,
The big girls do work on the little ones hair, but they are still in the learning stage, and as for your other suggestion, hmmmm…

Those turned out so cute! I’m very impressed. Thanks for the mention btw, how sweet of you!

Oh, those styles are so cute!! My, you have a lot of daughters. Well, the more daughters, the merrier mom is because she’s braiding more hair! Haha!
I think that is one disadvantage I have, I’m the only girl among three children. When mom feels like playing with a life-sized doll, she’ll immediately grab me. Seriously, I’ve been dolled-up way too many times!

So pretty! I don’t have any girls, so I have to admire other moms that do! It would be so much fun to do their hair!
Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day! Have a great day!

My girls will be SO jealous when they see this. Kara and Jana loved looking at the hairstyle blog, but immediately complained that their hair was too short to do any of them. We did have success with a couple of them though.

wow, the girls have such beautiful hair! do you no-poo with them as well? i wish that i had long beautiful hair like that, i just don’t carry long hair well at all. *sigh* my daughter can fix her’s ANY way she wants and it looks good, but that’s just not my gift! the girls are beautiful, and those hairstyles are gorgeous!

Angelia,
The girls went “no-poo” when I did, but shortly after I asked them all to begin using shampoo and conditioner again. I just feel that they are not able to tell when their hair needs egg or baking soda and I can’t keep track of all that so shampoo is easier for them. They don’t wash their hair every day anyway so it’s just easier for them to use shampoo and for me to know that it is clean!
