Just so you don’t think that I find amazing deals every time I go out, I thought I’d include one of my less productive Saturdays. (Remember that I post at least a week behind on these yard sale posts.)
I spent $1.50 today, plus $10 of some one elses money. 🙂
I bought this Spirograph set ($.50) for the children. This falls under what to buy #9. I do not intend to keep this forever, but the children have already gotten more than 50 cents worth of enjoyment out of it and I have loads of lovely spirally pictures up on our magnetic wall to prove it. When they tire of it or when I tire of finding pieces of it around the house, we will give it away.
I’m not going to show you a picture of the hostess gift that I purchased for $1. (Some of my friends do read this blog and some even invite us over for dinner. 😉 ) I only purchase things that are new and still in the packaging. I like to find home decor items, candles or fun kitchen gadgets to use as hostess or thank you gifts.
The items that I bought for my friend were actually the most interesting and fun.
I found these old windows that Gabrielle wants to use to make a cold frame for $2 each.
