Colby (2) recently fell down a few stairs, he was obviously unhurt because this is how I learned of the event.
Colby comes to me and says, “Mom, Colby fell! Bonk, bonk, pcksh, pcksh, boom, boom, boom, ouch.”
Of course this was accompanied by arm movements and pantomime showing just how it occurred.

I love how boys use so many sound effects to explain things. My boys have played with ‘vroom vrooms’ saw or heard a ‘whoo, whoo’, and played the ‘bing, bang, booms, ptchows’ many times.
glad Colby wasn’t hurt

I think it’s a rule of nature that children have to fall down a number of steps to be considered real children. ; ) Glad he’s okay!

We have two set of stairs in our home…one wood, one carpeted. For some reason they only fall on the carpeted ones, I’m thinking maybe it is because they are more careful on the wood as it would certainly hurt to fall on them! Kids and stairs make for an interesting combination…my kids love to slide down ours on blankets, Kim

I can relate. We have very clumsy children. My husband and I just shake our heads. We both played sports in division 1 universities, but our kids have trouble walking a straight line. They periodically fall off their bar stools and someone is always slipping and falling down the stairs!
