Yes, we don’t have my son’s artwork in pen all over one couch. (Luckily he chose the one we bought second-hand) Or on the still newly-painted bathroom wall. And I certainly NEVER let laundry pile up. No, never. I ALWAYS cook a proper dinner—it’s NEVER cereal with milk (and a little sugar), cookies, or—pumpkin pie. Of course, if it ever WERE pumpkin pie, everyone knows pumpkin is a vegetable.

I have one to add to that. My kids never use sharpies to color pictures with and then accidentally color the furniture as well!! haha I would never leave them unsupervised for that long either!

Yes, I am always caught up on laundry also. This is why I don’t really have 7 loads lined up in the hallway right now! (Had to divide the monster into piles so I wouldn’t hyperventilate at the thought of getting it finished.) It seems more managable now…baby steps.

It did come out of the carpets, with some all-purpose cleaner and a lot of elbow grease! Boy, I learned from that experience. On the nights that we don’t have babysitters, my kitchen waits until everyone goes home before it gets cleaned up!

It’s so nice to know that other moms don’t feed their children ice cream for dinner. I, for one, would never have allowed my children to do so last night to help cool their mouths after allowing them to eat spicy beef jerky. No, I would never do that.

I LOVE the picture of your son with markers! I have very similar ones… and I cherish them!! I was definitely NOT a fan of Sharpies on the wall – but the hidden blessing was it got my husband to paint several rooms!

I want to see a picture of the laundry pile that scared your husband. Wonder why your laundry system fell apart this week??? If I don’t get to see you in person anymore and give you a hard time then I’ll just have to do it here. By the way, what were you saying about finding out info. from your mom and not from me straight? Oh, I can soooo identify! I did *not* decide to get out the window crayons to keep all the kids in our small group (17 of them in all) occupied while I got our kitchen cleaned up one night. And they did *not* get it all over our windowsills, carpets, and somebody certainly did not rip off the tips of three of the crayons. Of course, I know the value of educating children on the proper use of window crayons and would have thoroughly trained the 17 children in these tools!
