Colby did not convince himself that the cable that comes out of the wall in our basement was a “huge, scary spider”. He did not refuse to go downstairs without a big kid for WEEKS and each time he came up stairs he would not describe to me in vivid detail just how large and scary the spider was.
Our children do not get messy or play with food because I’ve taught them better than that. If one of them ever did get messy by practically climbing into the tub of peanut butter, he would not run all over the house leaving peanut butter prints in his wake and he certainly wouldn’t think it was funny!

Love it!! Letting the kids dive into the mess and shaking our head at the mess that resulted? I am pretty sure that we have NEVER done that either. Never. Nope, not us!

He came in and tried to climb up on the bed with me. Can you say peanut butter sheets? (No, I was not in bed in the middle of the day.)
