As a mother to 10 children I’m interested in simplifying my life in as many ways as possible. The Mom Bloggers Club and Hewlett Packard want to know how a brand new HP Mini 110 with Windows 7 would help with that task.
We currently homeschool our children using one computer for the whole family.
With a second computer wait times would be halved and productivity doubled. Lines would be lessened and squabbles eliminated decreased.
With the portable, light weight HP Mini the children would be able to use the computer while we are on the go to the doctor’s, music lessons and even grandma’s.
An HP Mini would also improve mother/child relationships as I’d be able to work on the computer while the children work on their independent computer studies. No more excuses to dad that they didn’t get their computer work done because Mom was busy blogging.
Having such a small, powerful computer with the new features of Windows 7 would make blogging, networking and staying in touch while on the go a snap. Not to mention that an HP Mini would be a lot more hip to take to a major blogging conference than my current computer.
Don’t you think an HP Mini would simplify your life?

The Mom Blogger’s Club is pairing up with HP to give you and me the opportunity to win an HP Mini. The three MBC members with the most creative posts about how an HP Mini would simplify our life will each win one.
They are also giving away HP Minis to 3 random commenters. That means you!

Oh, to have another computer in the house! Even though there’s only 4 of us, there’s still a line to use the computer and another would be such a blessing!

Something this small would be really convenient for me since I need a computer for work and it is light enough to take on the bus which I use to commute every day. I could check e-mails & bills on my commute. My old laptop was actually stolen recently so I would love a new one! Good luck!

I would love to win this HP mini. We are on the go a lot as a family, and it would come in VERY handy with keeping up with schoolwork and staying connected to family and friends while we are away from home.

It would be awesome to win! We are a family of 10 and there is always a line. Besides blogging, 7 children doing school work, now dad is going to school full time. We have been having a lot of fun scheduling the computer time. A good thing is a couple of the children are getting up early so they don’t have to wait. It would be great to catch up on things when I’m waiting for a child at an appointment.
Thank you for this opportunity!

Good Luck to you!

I loved your photos–the long lines and the patiently impatient kids! Good Luck to you! I blogged & entered, too!
This HP 100 Mini netbook would be a blessing to our family, as we only have one old desktop to share amongst our family of 7. We rely heavily on spreadsheets, lists, email and schedules, etc. to streamline our day to day activities, and the portability of the HP 100 mini would make it so effortless and stylish. Plus, mobile computing would be perfect to pass the time–when time seemingly stands still–like when waiting in a doctor’s office!
Good Luck!

Thanks for the opportunity.

Who couldn’t use a HP Mini! Super cool! Hope you win! (and me too!)
[Reply]
How would we use an HP mini? Let me count the ways!
1. Fellowship. While I adore staying home with my babies day in and day out, there comes a time when I feel, well, deflated. By being a part of email/online Bible studies with family and friends, I could regain that “cup brimming with the Spirit” attitude.
2. Homeschool. Research, writing, projects, and more! I’m pretty certain that you know, as well as I, the vast number of amazing opportunities it would present!
3. Work. In the last year, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to write for a county-wide newspaper as make a small bit of income to boot! It affords me the opportunity to get out of the house a few times a month (wahoo!) and experience the world while “bearing fruits.” There is even a potential that I may get a light-hearted, recurring column to share my faith and homesteading ways!
4. College. My husband’s new job affords him the opportunity to go back to school (fully reimbursed), getting him that much closer the engineering degree he’s always wanted. I’m certain that he’d appreciate the use of a computer from not only this decade, but one that hasn’t been completely overwhelmed by all things VeggieTales!
5. The Homestead. Trying to juggle a small-scale, start-up farm with livestock schedules, financials, and the never-ending paperwork can be a real chore. I can’t even begin to imagine what we could do with a fully-funtioning, technological marvel!
6. Last, but not least, blogs! Being that our current laptop is only borrowed, I dread the day we may not be able to connect with others, both through our blog and blogs we frequently visit. (Wink!)
Whew! Having said all that, I’m sorry you’ve just finished reading an entire novel when all you asked for was how we’d use the HP mini. I don’t suppose you’re giving away anything having to do with keeping one’s thoughts and words simple and condensed, are you?
Blessings to you,
Kirsten

This would be awesome for me to have, too, as a soon-to-be mother of ten! Love the photos! You are so funny!
[Reply]
I hope you win one! A HP Mini would be really neat to have like you said “for the go”. With several homeschooling children, we have to pack up and go to PE and speech therapy, with the occassional doctor’s visit, so school is sometimes done in the car. This would be great to use!

I just started back to college yesterday……my class? Intro to computers, how handy would this little jewel be? Love it!

Kimberly,
Our lines look similar! With 9 kids we desperately need another computer. Oh, please let me win!!
[Reply]
What a creative post! We sure could use a computer for the kids to do school on.

What perfect timing! We have been discussing the possibility of homeschooling our oldest daughter and this would be a wonderful addition to our “classroom.”

Thanks for the giveaway! What a darling post to illustrate your “need” for another computer – too cute!
