Not Me Monday

Don’t forget to link up your 90 Day Challenge post here and at Mom’s Toolbox.I have not considered dedicating a whole blog post to some of the odd things that I pull out of the washing machine paper diapers (yuck), acorns, rocks, shells, fistfuls of mud, pens, crayons, batteries, balls, a walkie talkie, remote control, Little People, cars, a yo-yo, real bugs, etc.  I am not continually amazed at my children’s creativity.

While at BlissDom I did not neglect to take pictures of me with some of your favorite bloggers even though I was able to have some nice conversations with them, Kimba from A Soft Place to Land, Jennifer aka MckMama, Kristen from We Are THAT Family and even my own room mate Toni from The Happy Housewife.

I did not cry while I was away from my kids and talking on the phone with them.

When I got home Nicholas (1) did not proceed to say over and over, “Daddy look, my momma, my momma.”  While giggling, patting me on the shoulder and giving me big hugs.

I did not come home yesterday from BlissDom and proceed to sleep for 17 hours, nope not me.

We are not getting ready to head out the door for our ultrasound….

We currently have 5 girls and 4 boys and we’ve never been even.  Our pattern has been  girl, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, girl, boy, boy.

What do you think this baby is going to be?

  • It’s a girl. :)

    Or a boy.

    Or twins! Hehehe!

  • The pattern says you’re do for a girl, which means it will be a boy. I have no idea! I got what I wanted the first, fourth, and fifth times and not the gender I was hoping for the second and third times. Second and third were my sweet little girls that do everything with me now- in the kitchen, shopping, etc. I’m so glad the Lord gave me those precious girls even though I wasn’t smart enough to know I wanted them! I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for you! Either way, with 9 brothers and sisters, it’s going to be fun!

The pattern says girl, so it will be a boy?? You make me laugh.

It’s wonderful to know that God has a special plan for our family and you’re right either way will be fun.

  • I think it seems as if this will be a girl. You have never had more than two in a row of the same sex so, my guess would be a

    girl!!

  • Looks like you’re due for a girl!

It is a beautiful bouncing baby boy…:-)

  • Mine came this way….two girls, two boys, one girl, three miscarriages, two boys. It’s fun to see if patterns stay true. Our birthday patterns did….the girls birthdays are all in the first half of the year…April, May and June. The boys are all in the second half…August, September, October and November. We had an even division until baby number 7. It is nice to be balanced!!

  • Whatever you’re having, I know he or she will be loved! Glad you’re home safely. Sounds like you were missed.

Missed, yes, but now Nicholas only wants Amber, not me. It’s breaking my heart.

I am glad to be home and to be having another healthy baby.

  • I bet you are having a boy. I love this not me Monday. Maybe next week I will take part in it!

  • Awww, I teared up a bit when I read about your little one saying “look daddy, my mommy!” They really missed you! Sweet!

I was following you anyway, but I came here from mckmama’s not me monday!

Are you making plans to attend a blogging conference this year? It’s so worth it!

Hoping it’s a boy. Then you can be even…just like me. :-)

  • Think of it this way, you’re set for hand-me-downs either way!

  • It would be fun to be “even” with a boy, but God knows what you need. I’m praying for a healthy baby for you. :)

I just mentioned the other day about pulling a lip balm out of the dryer. My children are forever leaving those in their jeans pockets and jumpers pockets! They are small enough for me to not find, too. I have thought about blogging that, too, but since it was *only* a lip balm on Saturday I Facebooked it instead. ;)

The ultrasound went fabulously. I’m thinking of a fun way to announce the gender, but God answered your prayers, as far as we can tell this baby looks perfectly healthy!

    God is good!

I think since your sister-in-law found out she is having a girl–I will guess boy. But I know the baby will be just as sweet as the other olives!! :)
Hey, I washed an Ipod after my 11 y.o. son had it for 6 weeks (I do not check pockets :\ ) and then he saved birthday money from grandparents the next year and purchased another one and 2 weeks later he jumped into your parents pool on the 4th of July with the new ipod in the pocket of his swimming trunks. Oh how hard it is for them to learn responsibility. It did dry out and started working but has some minor damage.

It is hard for them to learn responsibility and so hard to watch them learn.

  • Did you tweet the result and I missed it? Can’t wait to hear! It was so good to finally meet you at Blissdom!

    Kimberly @ Raising Olives Reply:

No, I’m trying to think of a clever way to tell everyone. :)

    Amy W. Reply:

Oh forget clever- just tell us!! Every time I see that I have a new post from you (I read blogs through bloglines) I get excited that you might be sharing the gender.

But I would probably be the same way with figuring out some clever way to do it. With our first we didn’t find out the gender, and with our second we did but didn’t tell anyone else what it was! It was kind of fun to have our own secret. My husband prefers not to find out though, so with any other children God gives us we will probably just keep it a surprise.

    Still can’t wait to hear!

  • I hope it’s a boy , to make it even!! And so I won’t feel left out!

  • I know and I AM NOT TELLING! Praise the Lord, though!

So everything is ok? I was getting kind of worried.

    [Reply]

    Kimberly @ Raising Olives Reply:

Yes, everything is fine. Sorry for causing the worry!

Just trying to get caught up on everything and thinking of a fun way to announce what we are having. :)

We are so grateful for another healthy baby and we’ll let you know the gender soon. ;)
