Babywearing Solution

My apologies to those who were hoping for something really ingenious here and in my defense nearly all of my “Works for Me Wednesday” tips are actually helpful (like ways to keep kids rooms tidy or to display your children’s art) but when Matthew (10) showed me his version of an ERGO baby carrier I just couldn’t resist sharing it with you.

All you need is a robe with a waist tie.

Place the baby on your back and put the robe on.

Tie the tie tightly under the baby’s bum and voila, you are wearing your baby.

Using kids to think up new and creative uses for everyday items works for me!

Tomorrow the 4 Moms, 35 Kids: How Moms of Many Manage topic will be menu planning.   Then on April 15, 4 Moms will be hosting a recipe swap.  Have a recipe that will feed a crowd? On the 15th and you will have the opportunity to link up and share it with all of the 4 Moms readers.  Enter your link on one of our blogs and it will show up on all four blogs!

Also linked at 5 Minutes for Mom’s wordless Wednesday.

Ingenious! What a fun idea. Reminds me a little of my brother-in-law who always tucks his babies in the front of his overalls as he sets about his daily tasks. Ever since I’ve known him, he seems to always have a little head with a bow attached sticking out. :)

Sorry to leave this question here, but I was not sure where else to post it. Could you share with me the source of those cute swim dresses your girls are wearing in the banner photo?

    Kimberly @ Raising Olives Reply:

We purchased them from Swim Modest. They are really cute and modest, but I’ve been a little disappointed on the quality. For us they only last one season (and perhaps part of another) and we do not have the opportunity to swim very often.

I was about to buy from them. Would/Will you purchase from them again? Any better ideas short of me designing and sewing them (which won’t be happening soon!)?
    Thanks!

    Kimberly @ Raising Olives Reply:

We have purchased from the a few times simply because they are worth it to us at this point in our lives.

This last time I got some on clearance that were made with a more heavy-duty fabric. (It was labeled that way on the site.) I really like those and highly recommend them if you can find them.

Land’s End has some cute options and we’ve purchased some from there also.
