With the arrival of baby Bella in addition to our other responsibilities, Mark and I are NOT struggling to keep up with everything.
Nope, not us, everything is under control.
I was NOT having to rush to get a shower in time to make a lunch date with hubby (’cause you know that I have my shower scheduled before breakfast and a tiny 8 pound baby can’t possibly wreak so much havoc that it’s challenging to get a shower before dinner time) only to enter the master bathroom to find this:

I decided to shower in the kid’s bathroom.
When I asked Alyssa (9) why she was looking under the couch, she replied that she was looking for a pencil. Under the couch is NOT a reliable place to find pencils in our house. Alyssa did NOT proceed to find two hair brushes and 3 pencils as a result of her search. Who is supposed to tidy up in the family room anyway, Alyssa?
When I was at the grocery looking for mushrooms to make homemade pizza, I did NOT buy these just because of the name:
After my previous failure at taking it easy after the c-section and my subsequent promise to Mark and the children to really relax until Bella is at least 4 weeks old, I have not had too much sitting around time on my hands.
Being the youngest of 10 Bella is still NOT getting enough love and attention.

Sadie (6) finally gets her turn to hold Bella

I love the toenails!
Continue to take it easy! Rest! Enjoy Bella and your other children. I know that after I had my babies, I was so tempted to just get ” back to business as usual”, but when I forced myself to rest and enjoy it all, I never regretted it.
The grass will still be there. Aren’t you glad she found the missing hairbrushes?
I’m going to look for treasures under our furniture now!

Thank you Roan. I love the reminder that I will not regret this.
Hope all is well in your home as you begin another school year.

LOL!! One of my favorite not me posts so far. That tub full of Playmobil pieces, too funny and what a sweet picture of Sadie and baby Bella.

It’s been a long time since I’ve visited so am a little late in saying “Congratulations” on the birth of your beautiful baby girl. May God bless her and keep her every day of her life.

Thank you Jenny. I never mind people sharing my posts with others, that’s why I write.
These ‘not me’ posts help me relax and see the funny side of all the drama in our life. When we have a tough week, at least I know I’ll have a good post come Monday.

I love these not me posts! They always make me laugh and lighten up about similar scenarios in our crazy household. Laughter is good like a medicine!

At one time I took a picture of the conglomeration of things that were under our couch. I simply couldn’t find it for this post. I’m always amazed at how much is there. *sigh* I suppose it keeps life interesting when all of our hair brushes are ‘lost’ under a couch somewhere.

Looks like a re-enactment of Moses crossing the red sea…look at all the egyptian soldiers!….Maybe not, but someone was having fun.

The Red Sea, that makes me laugh and yes, I see that too. Although at the time I just thought, “How are we going to keep all those small pieces from going down the drain?”

Oh my word! I now pray that God blesses us with number seven and that she will be a girl just so I can paint her toes just like Bella’s! And our couch is a treasure trove underneath as well! Love the post!

I did steal the idea of painting a very small baby’s toes from a friend of mine. I, however, love giving the girls pedicures!

I just love not me Mondays! The baby Bella mushrooms are just too cute, and the grass well been there.

Well, in our house that is quite appropriate.

At least the tub water is clear, not murky.
I am hoping to finally get to hold the neglected baby this wk at playgrp!

I love painted baby toenails. I kept my daughters painted her whole first summer. She is three this summer and finally old enough to sit still for me to do them again.

How adorable are those toes? I have never thought to paint a baby’s toes, but wish I would have!
I also enjoyed the pencils under the couch story.

The Playmobil in the tub made me laugh out loud. That could NOT happen here.
I cleaned/organized while the oldest 6 were visiting their grandparents last week. I wish I had kept count of the number of socks I found…unbelieveable!

wow! I cannot imagine your eyes when you discovered that bathtub!! Guess you would just have to laugh to keep from crying at it! I was wondering if you all with large families had alot of toys to keep picked up. We are raising a 5yr old grandchild and I keep feeling like the toys are out of hand.

Leigh,
I try very hard to keep on top with the amount of toys we own. We regularly give toys away to other families. However, as you can see, we still have a lot.

That’s what our master bathtub looks like – Legos and Matchbox cars!!! I am daily grateful for a shower that I can use and NOT step on toyss!! Love your blog, btw…

Oh my! This is utterly hilarious, Kimberly! (and thank you for making me feel normal!

…That bathtub picture is absolutely hysterical. I like the ‘survivors’ on the edge, there, gloating over the losers.

How very precious she is. I love her painted piggys. =) It’s nice to see you again.. I’ve been blog hopping on my own via Feed Squares. It’d be great if you could come over and link up on my blog hop. The more the merrier. I’ll be seeing you!

I love it! I am having a wonderful time getting to know you 4 and your precious babies through your blog. We recently went from a family with 3 children to a family with 6 children. God saw fit to give me 3 baby sisters all at once and I remind myself daily He must think I am an amazing Momma to handle so much at once. My new little ones are nearly 3, 19 months and almost 8 months. They are bringing new lessons in patience and selflessness to the 3 we already had and I am loving it.

Aww! Your baby is adorable!!
