Welcome to Not Me! Monday! Where I have an opportunity to admit what I did NOT do this week.
When I ran out of size one diapers for Isabella I was able to use a few size two diapers, although they were a little big and made her look like she had a big, saggy, baby bum. At the store I congratulated myself on remembering to grab a pack of diapers for Bella. When I arrived home I did not realize that I had bought another pack of SIZE TWO diapers.
I did not send out an email reminding the ladies in our mom’s group that our next meeting would be on Thursday, August 10th (psst, there is no Thursday, August 10th in 2010) causing a lot of confusion and some ladies showing up on the correct day and others making plans to come on the wrong day.
Just minutes after this picture was taken,
that lawn mower did not quit entirely. Our kids have not enjoyed being able to play hide and seek in our yard by simply laying down in the waist high grass.
This week we got back to doing our semi-regular tea parties. The girls made lovely invitations that plainly announced that this was a “dress up” tea party. They got dressed up, fixed their hair and even offered free makeovers for anyone needing assistance.
I did not show up for this special event in my pajamas, nope not me!
Our kids wash up nicely, but don’t let the spruced up exterior fool you, they are kids through and through.
Before Suzanne’s (our borrowed daughter) wedding was over both Carter (8) and Colby (3) did not have cake frosting on their suits, Nicholas (2) had not completely dust mopped the floor in the reception hall with his back and Bella did not have spit up all over her dress.
So what didn’t you do this week?

when Grace was in the hospital for 15 days, she had to walk the hallways (that we saw them clean several times a day)every time she came back her feet would be covered in dust

Have u tried using cloths? Our babies bums are big too. lol. I also was getting ready for their first checkup when the lady called me for info for their appt. the next day. This was after I reminded Hubby he was to come home to bring us. I’m so glad she called earlier than we were to leave.

It was so much fun to see your lovely family at the wedding! Nicholas struck up quite the friendship with my dad. He’s adorable! Sorry I didn’t actually get to say hi. I had intentions, but . . . oh well.

I think that your dad has a way with children. Nicholas loved him.

Kathi,
I recently found the place to purchase suits for boys, Burlington Coat Factory. Not sure if you have them in your area, but they have a wonderful selection of suits in boys sizes and their prices are affordable($20-$40). Also, many of the suits are machine washable.

I did NOT allow my 2 1/2 year old to lick out single-serve butter containers during a luncheon presentation to keep him quiet.

I did not stay awake until 11:30pm last night trying to find the source of a strange scratching noise coming from the dining room. I thought it might be someone outside so I turned on the light to peek. No one was there. After much searching I found that the polyphemus caterpillar my children have displayed in the dining room/school room was eating a leaf and that was the “scratching” noise I heard. He is soooo loud!

that is too cute. I love the baby in Big Sissy’s hands. She’s just “hanging” out
