Date Night at Home with Macaroni Grill {Giveaway}

Congratulations to Kelly who won a date night at home from Macaroni Grill and Wanchai Ferry.

I recently posted about how to spend time alone with your husband in a houseful of children and one of my suggestions was to put the kids to bed early and enjoy a date night at home. Well last night, thanks to Macaroni Grill, Wanchai Ferry and My BlogSpark, Mark and I enjoyed a wonderful date date-night-in.

We put the children to bed and made dinner together.

It was delightful to relax, chat, refill the toilet paper in the kid’s bathroom,

(You didn’t really think that with 10 kids in the house we could get through the whole evening without a single interruption, did you?) and cook together. It was nice to have the kitchen quiet, semi-dark and (mostly) to ourselves.  After we finished, we ate a delicious, hot and special meal. Everything was great.

Did you know that Macaroni Grill and Wanchai Ferry offer scrumptious boxed entrees? Simple, fast and delicious, they make date night a snap.

Last night we had Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken from Macaroni Grill. We added chicken, butter and milk and in less than 20 minutes we had a scrumptious entree that tastes as wonderful as it sounds.

You can win your own date-night-in compliments of Macaroni Grill and Wanchai Ferry through My BlogSpark. You will receive one boxed entree from Macaroni Grill and one boxed entree from Wanchai Ferry in addition to a $25 Visa gift card for anything else you need to create a special night at home.

This sounds wonderful! Hubby and I have 3 kids (4 year old twins and a 1 year old) and he is a teacher working on his master’s degree. We try to be very diligent with our money, so we don’t eat out, and the hardest part about him working on his degree is not spending as much time together. THAT’S why I’d like to win! ;-)

That sounds fantastic!! I know my husband and I would love a date night in and I’d probably share the other meal with friends of ours that recently had their third baby and could use some reconnecting time! Thanks for the opportunity!

We have 6 kids and never, never get to get out. He works a lot and preaches for a mission, so he is really busy! We go on our Anniversary sometimes! This would be so great to just pick it up and have it here, and make a plan to date here at home!

We have a 9 month old baby (as well as a 4 year old) and since I’m nursing (the baby, not the 4 year old) we try to limit the amount of time I’m away from him. A date night in would be the perfect solution for having a special night together but still being able to feed the baby when needed.

I would like to win this so I can treat my husband to a dinner date at home! I have some health problems that prevent me from serving him as much as I’d like, and he has been serving me a lot instead! This would be such a fun treat for us both! Thank you for offering a great giveaway!

Would LOVE to win this! When we get a chance for an “at home date night” we like to cook together. BUT, by the time we cook something form scratch, eat and clean up its SUPER late. We will be trying these yummy entrees!!!

So glad that you two were able to have some special time together. Making it work is what it is all about. It is not easy with young kids to get out on a date night and the cost of a babysitter takes care of the money for dinner. This would be so much fun to win and pair it with a free Redbox, or Blockbuster, code for a free movie afterwards. Thanks for the opportunity. Happy Valentines Day.

My husband and I rarely get a night to ourselves. We don’t have the money to go out on a date night very often. It would be wonderful to have a date night at home. My older kids have offered to make sure the younger ones don’t interupt us.

I would love to win because 1. Eating out is expensive; 2. I have 9 kids and could use a sweet time “alone” with my wonderful husband; and 3. We have had very little time together – hockey trips every weekend (3 different cities for 4 different boys this past weekend)! :)

I would like to win the macaroni gift card because our anniversary is actually on the 22nd and this year we are taking Dave Ramsey and his financial peace plan very seriously…which means no extras :) It would be nice to be able to “order out” and bring it home and enjoy a meal someone else cooked for us while we play Phase 10 and have a great romantic evening together!
    Dave would be proud!

-This would be a yummy meal that I would have minimal planning for
    - It would save us lots of $$ since things are tight due to giving lots of $$ to the midwife so she will deliver our unborn baby
-last, but not least, my husband and I need all the dates we can get!

This is a great idea! My husband and I have a 4 year old, a 2 year old, and a 6 week old, and our families live 5 hours away, so date nights are non-existent for us right now. It would be so nice to have a special night at home. Maybe I’ll come up with something like that for Valentine’s Day:)
