Colby’s Emergency

I’m sitting on the couch in the dark of the morning reading my Bible when Colby (4) comes up and starts to talk to me.

I remind him, “Mommy’s reading the Bible right now. If it’s not an emergency then you should wait until I’m finished.”

Colby pauses just a moment and then says, “It is an emergency, I want to talk to you.”

I love it! My boys are the same but for my three year old needing to give me a kiss on the cheek is considered an emergency. So, I read to him for as long as he will tolerate before he slips off my lap and makes his way to his play activities. 🙂

I love it! My children have said the same thing in times past! I enjoyed visiting with you this weekend. I told my husband the only regret I had was that I missed getting a picture with you and your family (as well as one other family). I do hope the Lord will allow us to fellowship more!
