Bella’s Sheldon

Sheldon is a simple, fun pattern that is available free online. I knit this one up for Bella’s Christmas present.

Sheldon’s ‘shell’ is removable which makes a fun possibility of making different shells for different occasions.  It was a quick knit and is on my ‘do-again’ list as Colby (4) is enthralled with Bella’s Sheldon and has been requesting an orange one for his birthday.

Bella’s Sheldon was knit on size 3 and 4 needles with Cascade 220 Superwash for the body and Cascade 220 Superwash Paint for the shell.

Bella (and Colby) love him.

Sheldon is darling — just like the Littles! I have seen Sheldon and all his accoutrements, but there are few things more inspiring to knit, than to see a babe of extreme cuteness chewing on the knitted object! 🙂 It looks fantastic!

Aww, lovely little turtle. Of course, Bella’s lovely as well. 😉 If I can get past the beginning stages of knitting, I’ll try and make one of these. Right now I’m all fingers and thumbs.

Awe, so cute! I just took up knitting a couple of months ago, when I realized I was going to have hours of sitting around waiting for my OB (who is almost always an hour late). Maybe I’ll make a little Sheldon for this baby?

I love this! I am teaching myself to knit. I can only do scarfs but I will have to attempt this some day!
