“Not Me” – Bravely confessing some of my faults, failings and quirks by denying them.
Last Sunday after our worship service and fellowship meal (think no nap and a tired 8 month old) we headed to the University to listen to one of the students in our church perform as part of the symphony orchestra.
While finding our seats I hoped to acquire an end seat in the likely event that I needed to make a quick exit with Bella. Instead Bella and I ended up sitting 4 seats from the end and those seats were quickly occupied by four affluent and genteel strangers.
Toward the end of the concert, in a desperate attempt to keep Bella happy and avoid a scene, I scrounged in the bottom of diaper bag and found 6 old Cheerios. I did NOT proceed to feed those old Cheerios from the bottom of the diaper bag to Bella. No way, not me!
I did NOT rejoice in the success of my effort as we were able to calmly and peacefully walk out of the concert with the rest of the crowd.
What didn’t you do this week?
Go on and laugh. Having ten children gives us lots of opportunities to see the funny side of life.
