FairyBella

Bella is nearly 9 months old and has already started standing and taking steps independently. But little Miss Gross Motor Skills still has difficulty picking up small objects. A deficiency for which we are grateful since she is less able to get her favorite snack, small scraps of paper, into her mouth.

’cause I think she’s cute.

Isn’t she pretty! My son(2) has just discovered the fun of tearing paper up and making spit balls. I find them all over his room in the mornings and after nap. I guess they just like exploring things with their mouth!

Those are fabulous ruffles on her desk

We recently found out we are having a girl and the ruffles are calling to me… but I have a practical question. When she spits up in them, how difficult are they to wash?

This particular dress is just a dress up, so she wasn’t in it long. I would not want to try to wash spit up out of it.

However, most of the ruffly clothes that we own wash very well. I don’t buy anything that can’t be thrown in a machine. :)

She is adorable! When she gets older (or you feel ready to let her) put some cheerios on her high chair for her to pick up and eat. It will help her develop the pincer grasp which will help her fine motor.

Thanks Penny. Cheerios would be motivating. She’d probably be a pro by day two.
