Welcome to this weeks edition of 4 Moms, 35 Kids: How Moms of Many Manage. This week we’re answering reader questions or in my case, I’m answering one reader question.
Rachel at Quirky Momma asks,
What words of advice or encouragement would you offer a mom who is full of doubts regarding her family’s growth, doubts regarding her own abilities to care for the kids, doubts about our abilities to provide for them. What did you do when you had doubts?
First let me assure you that you can not care for the kids and you can not provide for them. It’s impossible.
So now that I’ve confirmed your worst fears, let’s turn to the one who can care and provide for your children, the one who loves them more than you do and the one who has sovereignly foreordained the growth of your family.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. ~ Phillipians 4:13
And do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not keep worrying.
For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things.
But seek His kingdom, and all these things will be added to you. ~Luke 12:29-31
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. ~ James 1:5
So while you certainly can not do it yourself, you can not possibly fail in Christ.
It will be overwhelming.
It will be difficult.
It will bring you to the end of yourself
and at the end of you, you will find Him.
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. ~Romans 11
And He is everything.
