A few months ago I requested prayer for my friend Denise a homeschool mom of 8 who was facing cancer for the third time. (Some of you may be familiar with Denise and R.C. as they’ve written several books like When You Rise Up: A Covenantal Approach to Homeschooling (R.C.) and Tending Your Garden: Wisdom for Keepers at Home (Denise).) I’ve had several readers ask how Denise is doing.
Twelve days ago, they received wonderful news.
Denise underwent chemotherapy and then a bone marrow transplant. (Denise’ sister Susan, a homeschool mom of seven was able to donate.) Twelve days ago Denise received word that her bone marrow is 100% Susan’s.
Denise continues to have frequent doctor’s visits and is virtually home bound apart from those, so their family can still use your prayers. Thank you for storming the gates of heaven on behalf of our sister in Christ.
