Weekend Links: Lilla Rose, House Staging and Books

I need to collect more quick, easy recipes, like these sausage balls, that call for simple ingredients that I generally have on hand.

House Staging on a Budget – for anyone else who’s trying to sell a home.

Several months ago our family discovered these beautiful, versatile hair clips from Lilla Rose.

Etched Lily Amethyst

Ideal for Amber’s (15) long, super thick hair as well as the baby fine hair of Savannah (6), our girls were so stricken with them, they decided to become consultants. Their parent’s enjoy seeing these in the girl’s hair so much that everyone will be getting some Lilla Rose love for Christmas.

(Be sure to watch this sizing video for help determining which sizes will work for you.)

I just saw a variation of these which I tagged on my Pinterest account using Bisquick and they also added cream cheese and said they stay very moist. I haven’t tried the recipe yet, so I don’t know how it tastes, but it’s your basic sausage ball recipe with 8 ounces of softened cream cheese added. Do you have a Pinterest account? I looked for you but I didn’t see anything.
Anyway, I noticed you seem to like Mexican food, and I have super-easy recipe for Mexican Corn Cake (the sweet spoon-bread they serve as a side at Mexican restaurants with dishes like enchiladas) using Jiffy Cornbread Mix.

    Jiffy Corn Cake
    1 can creamed corn
    1 stick of butter, melted
1 box of Jiffy Cornbread Mix
    1/3 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients together, pour into pie dish and bake for 35-45 minutes until lightly brown on top. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

    We love this stuff!!!
