Weekend Links: Christmas Decorating and More

The children and I have been scouring Pinterest for ideas to decorate using items that we already have. We paired these simple mason jar, Epsom salt candle holders

with fresh greenery from our back yard, gold organza fabric (left over from a previous project), sparkly red and gold ball ornaments and the old classic string-of-lights-in-mason-jars to transform our living and dining areas.

I love Tisha’s gift box topiaries, but decided to simplify her lovely idea and simply stack our packages. They don’t look quite as elegant, but offer the same cheery effect.

Congratulations to Rachel who ordered from  Amber’s Lilla Rose store and was chosen to win a flexi-clip of her choice.  Lilla Rose flexi-clips are ideal stocking stuffers or gifts for nearly any girl on your list.

My online friend, Anita, shares It’s a Wonderful Life, a beautiful vision of the blessing of women living life according to God’s eternal design, not man’s current ideas.

Thanks for sharing that post and linking up to Busy Hands Busy Minds today. I couldn’t figure out where all the traffic for that one post was coming from!! One reader did point out that there is a discrepancy in the dates regarding Spurgeon’s authoring the quote as he died around 1894. I am searching, though. Thanks again!

I LOVE the lighted mason jars and candles! Your buffet looks so beautiful, and all with stuff you had on hand! Your stacked gifts idea is probably safer than my topiaries too…with all the wind we’ve had this week, I’ve had to rescue my blown-over topiaries several times 🙂
