As parents we are commanded to train our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6). We are to speak to our children of His words when we lie down, when we walk by the way and when we rise up (Deut. 6). Our standard for raising our children is the law of God and what better way to faithfully remind us and them of that standard than to turn to Scripture.
What is the Child Training Bible?

I love what the Dunn family has done to make turning your children to Scripture simpler and easier. They’ve created the Child Training Bible.
The Child Training Bible uses a system of cards, tabs and highlighters with a standard-sized Bible to create a Bible that is easily marked and tabbed to allow you to quickly and easily locate the passages of Scripture that apply to many of the areas of sin that children and adults struggle with.
The Child Training Bible is simple to assemble, although it does take a bit of time to complete.

Is your child struggling with anger? The Child Training Bible has many passages of Scripture that talk about anger marked with color coded tabs and matching highlighting on the specific verses. This makes it fast and easy to locate the appropriate passages as you and your child deal with specific issues.

The Child Training Bible covers more than 20 topics including: disobedience, fear, fighting, defiance, lying and impatience. Each topic has eight or more Scripture references, some heart seeking questions (“Are you showing patience in this situation?”), some application questions and a simple prayer for help with this problem.
What we thought of the Child Training Bible.
We love the concept of taking our children directly to the Bible when we have need to correct and discipline them. We’ve done this for years and the Child Training Bible certainly makes it quick and easy to find applicable passages.

Bella (1) enjoyed playing with the CTB tabs while I assembled
We love that you and your children are reading from a real Bible instead of a book that has some applicable Bible verses printed in it.
We love that it’s adaptable. We can add and mark our own Scripture passages for some of the topics they’ve already covered.
We were a little disappointed in some of their Scripture choices for some of the issues. (i.e. For defiance the Child Training Bible has Phil. 2:8 “And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on cross.” but not 1 Sam. 15:23, Deut. 13:5 or any of the other passages that speak about the severity with which God views defiance or rebellion.)
We would like to see a more variety and specificity in their chosen passages. Our solution to this has been to mark additional passages for many of the topics.
The Child Training Bible charts are available from the Dunn family for just $9.

Thanks, that would be so nice to have to quickly find scripture at a moments notice in order to properly train your children in the ways of the Father. I would love to have one of those.
Emwhat an awesome idea to use scriptures so easily for showing my boys why we have certain rules, etc.
I would love to be able to quickly find an appropriate scripture for child training when a particular heart issue arises that we need to address. I also think this would be a good reference to select memory verses based upon the particular spiritual needs of my girls at a given time.
What a great resource. Being so busy with 5 little ones (one who struggles a lot) it would be so helpful to have verses “at your fingertips”
This sounds like a great resource for our family. We would love to use it with our 3 year old. Thanks!
Just shared your link on my FB wall. Congrats on Number 11, by the way

This looks great! I think it will be a time-saver! What a wonderful idea. Thanks!
This is something I have been wanting to do with my children. It is hard trying to remember the scriptures when you are a new believer and teach them to your children at the same time. This will be such a big help!
I would love to use this with my boys for life and homeschooling:)
Shared on Facebook:) what a giveaway! Good luck to everyone.
Posted on facebook!
Would love to have this to help me reinforce scripture with my girls!
I am interested because this is a great way for my husband and I to teach our kids a lifetime of obedience, love, and grace.
We would love this for our children!! This would be such a time saver when you are in a pinch….like the grocery store, but you still want to correct and guide. I would carry it in my purse for sure!!
I love this idea. This is a perfct way for my husband and I to dicipline our 3 year old. We need a reminder sometimes that the Word of God has the answers to everything..that we need not look anywhere else. I think this would also help us with scripture memorization.
I recently saw the child training Bible, and was excited about it. I posted it on facebook, and several of my friends were intrigued as well. It would be wonderful to receive one and see how it works for our family!
It would be such a blessing to have this well laid out resource for correction needs. I love to go to the authority above all, God’s Word to show my children what God says about certain sinful choices and behaviors and how we should correct them!
I have posted this on my blog for the whole giveaway period !!!

I have five kids, this looks like a great tool for our first born as he is being trained in the way to study the Bible. I hope to set a pattern with me that will carry on through the next four of his siblings.
I would love to win this! We have been struggling with discipline the past few weeks with all of our children, and I think the only answer is in finding Scripture to use in our corrections.
Mty family could really use this. I must admit our bible study time is lacking and as a result so are some other areas in our family.
I have raised five children. My youngest is sixteen. I would love to have this for my grandchildren.
As young as my daughter is, she is very smart. Although we discipline her, it is a great idea to refer to the bible when she is being “naughty”. The colours will draw her to it. She loves colours
. My bible is missing the March chapter 5 (she did it)..lol.
I’d like to win because I did not grow up in a godly home and I really struggle with training my five little blessings sometimes.
i’d like to give this to my niece
In a lot of ways our family is forging new grounds spiritually, and help would be great!
I have a book with scripture in it but, it would ne nice to just pull out the Bible and not both books.
I am so excited about this give away! I have been looking for something like this to help my family stay on the right track! its a wonderful idea and I’m glad they are sharing it in this give away!
I would love to incorporate more scripture into disciplining and guiding my son.
I’ve seen this previously and would love to have it! What a great idea!
God’s Word is a lamp and a light in a dark world. I want to teach Rebekah and Andrew to love the light of God’s Word and to see it as the authority in their life (God says it, not just Mommy and Daddy).
Would love this, i have four kids and struggle with my faith as well and could probably use the passages myself as well as for my kids!!
I’d love a Child Training Bible because my memory is so holey! I know it would help me to find just the verse I needed at the time it is needed. What a precious family resource!!
This looks like a great tool to make times of training/learning/disciplining biblically sound and making sure you have Gods word easily at hand to back why you’re teaching what your teaching… Gods will and way in which we should follow and live each day. This would be an asset to any bible believing home. We are a family of 7, 5 children… 15,13,5,2 and 10months… at times I find myself overwhelmed in just how to handle many situations and this sounds like a wonderful tool in helping in those difficult times we all often face when raising families. Thank you for posting the opportunity for so many to be able to have a chance in gaining this helpful tool in their faithful walk/journey with the Lord. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family
