Watch “Children Are a Blessing” for Free During the Month of April

A while ago I told you all about a lovely DVD, “Children Are a Blessing” and now you have the opportunity to see the film for free.

Perhaps the reason that I watched this DVD with tears in my eyes is because I feel a heavy burden for thousands of Christians who believe the lie and refuse the eternal blessing of children in exchange for perceived physical and/or material comfort. Perhaps it is because, despite my efforts, I will never be able to communicate the indescribable heights of love, joy and peace that arise from willingly accepting the gifts which God chooses to send. Perhaps it’s simply because the film brings with it remembrance of our merciful and gracious God who has showered blessing upon blessing on our undeserving family.

You may read my entire review here.

During the month of April you may purchase “Children Are a Blessing” (a semi-finalist in the San Antonio Christian Film Festival) for only $10. Even better you may view the entire film online at Moore Family Films for free until April 30.

The Moore family has also produced More Than Making Maple Syrup and two “It’s Your Life” films, one featuring the Moody family and one featuring the Moss family.

Don’t miss your opportunity to see “Children Are a Blessing” for free and once you’ve seen it, spread the word so that others may be blessed and challenged by this thought provoking film.

I watched it and it was good. I am one of seven children in my family. Now married with one 21 month old and 21 weeks pregnant with our second. I wonder though if all women who are able to conceive are meant to have large families though. My mom had us seven over 17 years and she always seemed stressed or unable to keep up with everything. I wonder if personality makes some people more fit to have large families. I definitely agree that children are a blessing from the Lord and am so grateful for each of my siblings, these are just some questions I have.
I also wonder about how many we will have since my first was a 26 weeker due to severe pre eclampsia and I am now high risk for getting it again. Things that we used to think were more cut and dry now seem to bring up questions for us. We haven’t ever used chemical birth control though and will not.
    I enjoy reading your blog!!

Thank you so much for passing this along! My husband and I are not planning to have more children (we have 4), but lately he has been saying to me that God has been speaking to him about a lack of faith in this area. I will ask him if we can watch this together!

I can’t wait to watch it. I have 3 kids but have extras alot – this weekend have 9 and when I go anywhere people always say “I feel sorry for you” I always say – you shouldn’t – I asked for this and love it! Trust me my life is a blast compared to most peoples. I hate it that people say that especially with the kids right there!

I was very much looking forward to watching this video but I am having trouble getting it all to load. I even let it sit overnight to load. Is anyone else having the same problem?

My family and I have It is Your Life and Children are a Blessing. They are both great movies that I am so glad we added to our collection. Having had a miscarriage last year I really appreciated their words about their miscarriage.
I too feel that burden for others. As I left my OB appt today for our newest blessing, the lady beside me was making an appt to have her tubes tied as she held 6 week old. I wanted to weep for her and she was just as happy as could be. Makes me very thankful for what God has done and mine and my husbands life.

Thank you for drawing attention to the opportunity to watch this film. Our 4th child will be 11 months tomorrow, and this is the oldest child we have had without having another on the way. Because of stressful life circumstances that we are waiting on the Lord to work out, we have doubted being able to handle another pregnancy right now, should one occur. But I have been encouraged by the film to trust God no matter how things are. It’s not easy to trust in this area, and we certainly do waiver at times; but when I really consider God’s heart on the matter, I know what is right.

Thank you for your blog. It’s hard living in a place where few other people see this issue the same way. God bless.
