Matthew: A Family Bible Study Guide {Giveaway}

Our family is no stranger to the family Bible study guides from Generations with Vision. We’ve used and enjoyed the guides on the book of Proverbs, The Book of Proverbs: God’s Book of Wisdom for our time of family worship and found them very applicable to today’s culture. (More information and a review of the Proverbs study guide)

Their newest offering to help families dig into God’s Word together is  Matthew: A Family Bible Study Guide.  These study guides are a wonderful way to get started with a time of regular family worship and also a great way to continue to dig deeper into the Word of God.

Here’s a little snippet about “Matthew: A Family Bible Study Guide” from the Generations with Vision website:

J. C. Ryle provides the very best commentary and devotional exposition
of the book of Matthew that can be found. We could do no better than to
use his expositions of the Gospel of Matthew for our Family Bible Study
Guide Series. Writing in the 19th century as an evangelical Anglican pastor,
Ryle intended these “Expository Thoughts” for family worship. His writing
is strikingly simple, profound, practical, and passionate at the same time.

Each lesson in this Matthew Family Bible Study Guide contains the
following features:
• Outstanding practical and devotional exposition from J.C. Ryle
• Thematic breakdown for each chapter
• A summary of events for each chapter
• Content questions for each section
• Penetrating, application-oriented questions to stimulate
family discussion

Spiral Bound. 297 Pages.

I think we would enjoy any of the study guides, but in particular the one on the book of Genesis as in our history this year we are starting over again at the beginning.

I would like this Family Study Guide because I am always looking for new devotion/study type things to do each evening. As a Hebrew Roots/Torah following family, I would like Matthew in particular because of the parallels to the first five books of the Bible. Matthew is known as the New Testament Torah.

And we just read Duties of Parents by J.C.Ryle, which was so good. Please pick me! I’d be honored and we’d definitely use it!
