Hi, this is Amber (the oldest Olive) posting a Peach Cobbler recipe with the help of my Grandmother.
When my Mom was 7 she would go with her family to pick fresh peaches at a nearby farm. Of course after they had picked peaches to their hearts content they had to figure out what to do with all of them. This is the recipe for their favorite peach cobbler that my Grandmother would make.
Peach Cobbler Recipe
4 oz. butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
a pinch of salt
2 tsp. baking powder
3-4 cups peeled and sliced peaches
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter and pour into an 8×8 baking dish. Mix together the flour, sugar, milk, salt, and baking powder. Pour the batter over the butter. Spoon the peaches over the top and bake for 45 minutes to an hour. Serve hot with ice cream.
