If you are looking for information about our family visit Meet the Olives .
I did this for Facebook and thought it would be fun to include here as I mention a lot of things that don’t come up much in family and children discussions, besides, the work was already done!
1. From the time I was a little girl I said that I wanted to have 12 children.
2. Now that I have children I still hope to have 12.
3. I can’t remember a time when I did not love Jesus.
4. I like to knit, sew, draw, crochet, photograph, create. Sometimes I forget to stop and fix dinner.
5. When I was 11 my mom had cancer and I grew up.
6. Since our oldest was born, Mark and I have never had a night away from the children. Well except to go to the hospital to have another baby.
7. I’m a horrible writer, but love to read great writing.
8. Four of our children have been born with a broken bone. Two were born at home.
9. I don’t have a good sense of humor.
10. I was the state champion in gymnastics for 2 years in high school and was offered college scholarships.
11. I would love to adopt. Mark is more ambivalent.
12. I procrastinate! I still haven’t mailed thank you notes for Christmas. So if you gave us a gift, “THANKS!”
13. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Cinematography. That means I learned how to make movies in college.
14. I’m good at drawing portraits, but I don’t know how I do it.
15. I’m not good at cooking. I do, however, feed 12 people, 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. Well actually I have taught some of my kids to cook and so someone in our house feeds 12 people 3 meals every day.
16. I am task oriented. Mark is better with people.
17. I have had the privilege to see eleven people enter the world and one person leave.
18. I am married to a nearly perfect man. He loves me and never complains. See #4.
19. We want our children to be each others best friends.
20. I took piano for 6 years, but can not play well.
21. I am an early morning person and enjoy being up before my early rising children.
22. When I was little our family backpacked. I wish I were as brave as my parents.
23. I am a second generation homeschooler. (I was homeschooled and now we homeschool.)
24. I am daily aware of the fragility of life and thank God for each moment that I have with my family. See #5.
25. I’m a pastors kid.

2. And I still want 12 too!
3. Me either
4. Very cool- you are multi-talented.
5. It’s amazing how God prepares us. I’m glad she’s still with you.

7. I think you’re a great writer- at least blog-wise. I too love to read good writing.
8. Wow.
9. I think a sense of humor comes easily to some and others need to cultivate it more. I have some friends for whom it comes very naturally.
10. WOW! That is amazing. I always enjoy watching gymnastics.
11. My opinion changes on this one. Sometimes I want to adopt- other times I am satisfied where I am.
12. LOL- There are a few relatives that I know MUST HAVE thank you notes. They get the notes. The others get thank you phone calls.
13. That is really neat! How very fun that might be to make home videos with such a knowledge.
14. I love to watch people draw portraits.
15. That is an accomplishment far greater than being able to cook great.
