Simple Birthday Cakes

For a number of reasons we have chosen to keep birthday celebrations fairly simple at our home.  We have many special traditions and activities for each birthday, but a few years ago I discovered a way to allow children to participate in creating their birthday cake while saving me lots of time and energy.

Keeping Kids Rooms Tidy

Every morning before breakfast our kids are supposed clean their bedrooms.  Currently the 5 girls are in one bedroom and the four boys are in another bedroom, so both bedrooms have the potential for a huge mess and lots of squabbles.  We’ve found a great solution for both of these potentials.
